A lady has stirred reactions online after narrating how a simple comment she made to her neighbor’s female visitor caused an argument that ended the woman’s visit to the compound.
The incident, which the lady shared on social media, happened after the neighbor brought another woman home while his regular activities in the compound had already drawn attention from residents.
According to the lady, the man dropped the woman off at his apartment and drove out shortly after.
She claimed the visitor later stepped outside wearing the man’s oversized clothes after changing from her NYSC khaki outfit.
The lady said she then positioned herself close to the apartment and intentionally greeted the visitor with another woman’s name.
Encounter outside the apartment
Recounting the incident, the lady said she called the visitor “Vera” and acted as though she mistakenly assumed she was the man’s wife.
“I shouted, ‘Vera, how far na? You just show, you no even check on me,’ while walking toward her,” she explained.
“She turned and said, ‘Sorry?’ Then I told her, ‘Oh, I’m so sorry. I thought you were Vera, his wife,’ before returning to my room,” she added.
Argument follows unexpected comment
According to the lady, the man returned shortly after and an argument reportedly broke out between him and the visitor before the woman eventually left the compound.
“He later knocked on my door asking what I told his woman. I denied everything and asked if he had even seen me that day,” she said.
The lady added that the neighbor has since been insulting her and calling her different names, including “demon,” over the incident.
