“He Made Me Rethink My Life”- TG Omori Opens Up On Burna Boy’s Influence On His Career

Popular Nigerian music video director, TG Omori, has shared the powerful moment that changed his mindset and pushed him to pursue success at a higher level.

The award-winning cinematographer revealed that watching Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy command the stage during a show in Abuja made him realise the level of impact and recognition he wanted to achieve in his own career.

According to TG Omori, he attended an event where Burna Boy was the headline performer, but due to arriving late, he and his team were unable to perform. However, witnessing Burna Boy’s entrance and the reaction from the audience left a lasting impression on him.

He explained that the crowd’s overwhelming excitement when Burna Boy appeared made him understand the power of influence and the importance of becoming someone whose presence creates a memorable experience.

“I went to a show in Abuja where Burna Boy was headlining, but we arrived late so couldn’t perform. When he came in, the crowd forgot there was an artiste performing. The next day, I told myself that was my last day as an ordinary person,” TG Omori said.

The filmmaker noted that the experience became a turning point in his life, motivating him to work harder and build a name for himself beyond being seen as just another creative professional.
