Barely a week after a woman was thrown to her death while bungee jumping, yet another woman has fallen almost 100 feet to her death after lifting her leg to spray insect repellent during a cliffside trek.

Rosemary was part of a group of 15 people who were visiting the Spar Caves in Maricá, Brazil, and at the time she was already kitted out in safety equipment, including gloves and a helmet; she was walking along a brief path to start an abseiling descent.

But as she paused and raised one leg to spray on insect repellent, her weight-bearing foot suddenly gave way. She tumbled backwards and plummeted over the edge of the cliff.
Giovani Maximino who was there and watched the horror unfold said: “The guide tried to hold her and nearly went over as well,” he told local media.
“It’s a drop of around 30m (98ft),”he added.
Fire crews rushed to the scene but discovered the Rio de Janeiro resident had not survived the fall. The case is. Police are currently investigating the case.
