Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun and his family have honoured his late daughter, Zeenat Balogun, on the occasion of her posthumous birthday.
In a video posted on Instagram by Saidi’s son, Khalid, the whole family spoke highly of the deceased.

In his caption, Khalid said they are celebrating the life Zeenat lived. According to him, his sister’s journey was marked by the challenges of Sickle Cell Anaemia, yet she faced every battle with remarkable strength, courage, and grace.
He said they are also commemorating World Sickle Cell Day through the tribute video, raising awareness, celebrating resilience, and remembering the countless warriors fighting the condition. Khalid said that though Zeenat is no longer with them physically, her love, light, and legacy remain forever alive in their hearts.

In a press statement, he described the deceased as a warrior who gave life all and was the embodiment of joy, acceptance, and resilience. The late Zeenat was further described as a die-hard believer in the phrase never give up.
In October of last year, he had marked the one-year remembrance, Saidi shared a clip of his late daughter accompanied by a touching note to her. He noted how it has been one year strong and states that his daughter isn’t to be forgotten.
Still grieving, Balogun expressed heartbreak as he promoted her last movie. He expressed how hurt he was to post the movie teaser; however, he knows that light can never be hidden under a shade.
His ex-wife, Faithia Williams, took a break from social media to mourn his daughter. When she returned, she made a post gushing over the deceased and appreciated the public for their support.
