Three men have allegedly gang raped a woman after telling her they would help secure her husband’s bail and later threatened her with bad consequences if she disclosed the alleged incident. The woman claims she was working at a private business in Zirakpur, India, where she met with two of the suspects, identified as Aamie and Sonu. At the time, her husband was held in jail in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
She alleged that Aamir and Sonu told her about Imran, who could help secure her husband’s release on bail through his contacts. The woman claimed that on September 7, 2025, the two men took her to Amroha in Uttar Pradesh, where they met Imran at a guest house in Joya. She alleged that all three accused gang raped her there. She further alleged that Aamir and Sonu had sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions before the incident and threatened to kill her if she spoke about it, Hindustan Times reports.
The complainant stated that her husband was released from prison on September 23, 2025. After experiencing abdominal pain, she underwent medical tests and an ultrasound examination, which confirmed that she was pregnant. She subsequently informed her husband about the alleged sexual assaults.
As part of the investigation, police reviewed medical documents, ultrasound findings, and other relevant evidence. Investigators reported that the material gathered did not substantiate the allegation that the incident took place at a guest house in Joya on September 7, 2025. According to police findings, technical and forensic evidence suggested that the alleged offence may have occurred around October 8, 2025, and pointed to a possible connection with the jurisdiction of Zirakpur.
In light of these findings, the case was transferred to the Punjab Police for further inquiry. The accused were identified as Aamir, Sonu, and Imran.
Authorities registered a case under Sections 70(1) (gang rape) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and initiated a detailed investigation into the case.
