A US soldier has reacted to the arrest of the Chief Executive Officer of TMT Travels and Tours, following allegations that several Nigerians were defrauded in connection with travel and visa-related services.
Reacting to the development, the soldier expressed little sympathy for those who allegedly fell victim, questioning how some people could hand over large sums of money to agents based on promises of securing work or student visas.
According to him, people should exercise greater caution and carry out proper checks before entrusting huge amounts of money to travel agents, especially when they are promised opportunities abroad without having the necessary qualifications or skills.
He said:
“These People Who Were Sc@mmed By TMT, I Don’t Have Any Pity For Them. In 2026, How Can You Be So Ignorant? You Don’t Have Any Skills Or Qualifications, Yet An Agent Is Telling You To Bring Millions Of Naira For a Work And Student Visa. How Stup!d Can You Be? What’s Worse Is That Some Of The People Falling Victim To This Are Even Educated.”
The soldier’s comments have sparked reactions online, with some people agreeing that prospective travellers should conduct thorough background checks and be wary of unrealistic promises made by agents.
