How to Check CDCFIB Shortlist Status, Select Exam Venue and Print Slip

CDCFIB portal is now open for candidates to check their shortlist status, select physical examination venue and print examination slips.

This Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) recruitment guide will walk candidates through the step-by-step process to access the portal, verify shortlist status using an application number, upload required documents, select a preferred physical examination date, choose the closest examination venue/centre and download the examination slip.

  1. Visit the Recruitment Portal

Visit the official portal via https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng/

The portal will remain open from June 15 to June 20, 2026.

Enter your application number to verify your status.

Candidates are advised to use the application number received during the initial registration process.

Access the portal only through the official CDCFIB website.

  1. Shortlisting Verification

The system will automatically verify each candidate’s application number.

Shortlisted candidates will proceed to the document upload portal.

Candidates who are not shortlisted will not move beyond this stage.

Applicants are advised not to share their application number with anyone.

  1. Document Upload and Scheduling

Candidates are expected to upload required documents and select their physical examination date between June 15 and June 20, 2026.

Upload all supporting documents as specified on the portal.

Select a preferred examination date and the closest venue within your area.

Ensure submission is completed before the portal closes.

Candidates should note that venue slots are limited and are advised to select a centre as early as possible.

  1. Download and Print Examination Slip

Immediately after submission, candidates should download their examination slip.

Print at least two copies for reference and safekeeping.

Carefully confirm details including name, examination date, venue and candidate number.

Candidates should note that the printed CDCFIB examination slip will serve as the official entry pass at the examination venue.

  1. Attend Physical Examination

The physical examination will commence on June 22, 2026.

Successful candidates are required to come along only with their printed examination slip.

Candidates are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled time, as late arrivals may be denied entry.

Applicants should also dress appropriately for the physical fitness assessment.

  1. Check Phase 1 Results and Proceed

Results of the physical examination will be announced on the official portal.

Successful candidates will proceed to Phase 2, which includes fitness and oral examinations.

Candidates are warned not to pay money to any individual or agent, as the recruitment process is completely free.
