I am Not Begging Anyone – BLORD Breaks Silence From Kuje prison

Crypto entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as BLORD, is in high spirits while detained at Kuje Correctional Centre, activist Omoyele Sowore has revealed.

Sowore, who visited BLORD with members of the Take It Back Movement, quoted the 28-year-old businessman as saying: “I’m using this opportunity to rest because I haven’t rested in a while. I’m also not begging anybody because I’m not in a hurry to get out of prison and I’m ready to go all the way.”

BLORD was remanded for 26 days by the Federal High Court in Abuja on April 1 over allegations of impersonation and forgery involving social media personality VeryDarkMan (Martins Vincent Otse).

The charges relate to the alleged unauthorised use of VDM’s image and name on billboards, promotions, and fintech campaigns for BLORD’s Blord Group companies, including Billpoint and Jetpay.

Despite the situation, Sowore described BLORD as calm and optimistic, viewing his time in custody as a much-needed break from his busy schedule.

The Anambra-born founder of Blord Group rose to fame in Nigeria’s crypto and fintech space through digital trading, real estate, and luxury investments.
