Nigerian skit maker and content creator Carter Efe has revealed how Afrobeats superstar Davido helped him earn the largest amount of money he has ever made from a single livestream.
Carter Efe made the revelation while speaking about the difference between Davido’s support and the attitude of some other people around him. According to the content creator, some individuals prefer to keep their opportunities and success to themselves rather than help others grow.
Reflecting on his experience with Davido, Carter said the singer’s appearance on one of his livestreams brought him a major financial breakthrough, describing the moment as one that transformed his fortunes almost instantly.
He said:
“Davido made me the biggest money of my life on a stream in one night, I became a big boy overnight even when my ex was trying to come back.
“The rest people wetin them they do? They don’t want to share their glory, they are keeping their glory, glory that you will die and leave.”
Carter’s comments come months after Davido made a surprise appearance on his Twitch livestream in December 2025.
The collaboration reportedly became a major milestone for African streaming, drawing more than 80,000 viewers at the same time and helping Carter Efe gain over 139,000 followers in one night.
The streamer also crossed the 20,000-subscriber mark during the broadcast, while rising to become the most-followed African streamer on Twitch at the time.
Carter’s latest remarks highlight the impact Davido’s appearance had on his career and online growth, with the content creator continuing to credit the music star for contributing to one of the biggest financial moments of his life.
