Media personality Simi Sanya has recalled how an X user once predicted that her relationship with her husband, Femi Dapson, would end before they eventually got married.
Speaking during an appearance on the #WithChude podcast, Simi shared the experience while reflecting on the reactions she received before her engagement announcement.
According to her, a lady had tweeted about Femi’s past relationship, warning her about how he allegedly treated his ex. Simi, however, explained that she responded calmly, noting that having exes was normal.
She recalled that the exchange soon attracted more comments, with some people accusing her of defending a man. More allegations followed, while the woman eventually predicted that her relationship would scatter.
“I just made up my mind that, you say this relationship will scatter. I bookmarked it. I said, ‘I’ll be back.’ Not forcing it, but if God wants it.
“And when it happened, I got engaged. I was excited, and I went back to quote her. I said, ‘Hi.’ I know that could have been petty. She said it will scatter, but God did,” she said.
Simi acknowledged that returning to the woman’s post after getting engaged might have been petty, but she explained that she had remembered the woman’s prediction.
The media personality and Femi Dapson some months back, making the old prediction a memorable part of their relationship journey.
Her revelation has drawn attention, particularly because the relationship the woman predicted would end eventually progressed to marriage.
