“I Can’t Even Boast Of $100k In Savings”- Nigerian Woman Reveals Struggles After 20 Years In America

A U.S.-based Nigerian woman has expressed frustration over the financial struggles and challenges she says many immigrants face despite spending years building their lives in America.

The woman, who has lived in the United States for more than 20 years, opened up about her personal experience, revealing that she has yet to accumulate $100,000 in savings.

Sharing her concerns, she said she had become increasingly tired of life in America and questioned whether many immigrants truly understood the purpose behind their decision to relocate.

“I’m tired of America. I’ve been here for over two decades and I can’t even boast of $100k in my savings. Majority of us don’t know our purpose here,” she said.

According to her, the reality of living abroad can be significantly different from the expectations many people have before relocating.

She suggested that some immigrants spend years working and meeting their daily financial obligations without achieving the level of financial stability they initially hoped for.

Her remarks have sparked conversations about the realities of life abroad, particularly among immigrants who leave their home countries in search of better opportunities.
