According to him, there is no evidence that the APC is directly involved in destabilizing opposition parties, as some critics have alleged. Alot of people won’t agree with this, Watch Video Now.
Speaking during an interview on ARISE News, Dogara said the upcoming APC convention will go beyond routine party gathering, describing it as a moment to reflect on reforms and governance under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He explained that the event is expected to showcase progress made so far by the administration while also allowing party members to evaluate key decisions and policy direction.
On the issue of opposition politics, Dogara pushed back against claims that the ruling party is interfering in internal crises of rival parties. He insisted that political parties must take responsibility for their own internal organization and unity.
According to him, a strong democracy depends on a credible and functional opposition, but that responsibility lies within those parties themselves.
His comments have sparked mixed reactions, especially among opposition supporters who argue that Nigeria’s political tensions are more complex than he suggested.
As the APC prepares for its major convention, attention is now shifting to what the party will reveal about its reforms, internal direction, and future political strategy.
