According to her, the experiences were so intense that she believed she was living among unseen forces.
Adelowo explained that she believed her protection came from her rosary, which she said her mother blessed while they were attending a Catholic church. She claimed that whenever she wore it, she felt safe, but on occasions when she forgot, she experienced frightening moments that left her shaken.

She added that a woman who looked after them at the time was aware of the strange events happening in the school environment.
