Nigerian disc jockey and billionaire heiress, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has opened up about her decision to move away from the colour pink, which had become a major part of her identity for several years.
The entertainer explained that pink was once her signature colour and played a significant role in shaping her public image. However, she believes personal growth should come with the freedom to explore new things and embrace different sides of oneself.
Speaking about the change, Cuppy noted that she no longer wants to be restricted to a particular colour simply because people have become accustomed to seeing her in it.
“I was known for the color pink and it was my identity for so many years. Growth is something that will always come and I don’t think I should be boxed into a color,” she said.
Her remarks suggest that the DJ is embracing a new phase of self-expression, choosing not to let her former signature look define her personality or limit her evolution.
Cuppy became widely recognised for her love of pink, often incorporating the colour into her outfits, hairstyles, accessories and overall brand identity.
