Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator, , has expressed frustration and concern over the continued captivity of schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oyo State.
Reacting to the incident, Sabinus lamented the country’s security situation, saying he sometimes feels ashamed to identify as a Nigerian due to the inability of authorities to rescue victims of kidnappings and other violent crimes.
The comedian questioned why security agencies, which are often able to track and arrest suspects within a short period, have yet to secure the release of the abducted pupils and teachers.
“Up till now, the kidnapped school children and teachers in Oyo State are still being held captive in the bush. Most times, I feel ashamed to even say I’m a Nigerian. We all know that if security operatives want to arrest someone, they can track and pick up the person within minutes as long as the person is in Nigeria. But look at what is happening,” he said.
His remarks have sparked reactions on social media, with many Nigerians echoing concerns over insecurity and calling for urgent action to ensure the safe return of the victims.
The abduction has continued to generate public outrage, with citizens urging security agencies and government authorities to intensify efforts to rescue those still being held captive.
