Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has revealed why he sometimes gets nervous whenever actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele invites him to feature in one of her movies.
Speaking about his experience working with the filmmaker, Kosoko said the number of takes required during filming could be demanding, as a single scene might be shot as many as 26 times.
“Anytime Funke Akindele calls me for a movie, I get scared because you can shoot a scene like 26 times,” the veteran actor said.
His remark highlights the demanding nature of filmmaking and the patience actors may need when working with directors who insist on multiple takes to achieve their desired results.
Funke Akindele is one of Nollywood’s well-known actresses and filmmakers, recognised for her work both in front of and behind the camera.
Kosoko’s statement has also drawn attention to the level of commitment and attention to detail that can go into producing movies, particularly when a filmmaker wants to ensure that every scene meets the required standard.
