Elon Musk’s first wife, Justine Wilson, has described their marriage to the billionaire as “super toxic”, revealing that she learned the term gaslighting during their relationship.
Speaking in a new documentary about Musk, Justine said, “I learned the term gaslighting through my relationship with Elon.”
She also claimed that Musk frequently made her feel insignificant and treated her as though she were his employee.
Justine, who had six children with the Tesla CEO, recalled Musk telling her during their wedding dance, “I am the alpha in this relationship.”
She further alleged, “He was constantly remarking on the ways he found me lacking.”
The couple’s first child, Nevada, died from SIDS at 10 weeks old.
The documentary, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, also features claims from Musk’s former partner Ashley St. Clair, who said she rejected a $40 million NDA offer to participate in the film.
St. Clair said she wanted to set an example for her children that speaking truth to power should not come with a price tag.
Musk, however, denied the claim, saying, “She was never offered that and has a history of making false claims.”
