Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem Winner Mercy Eke has opened up on her repaired relationship with former rival, Tacha.
While on Toke Makinwa’s podcast, she said she and Tacha have moved on from the BBN saga. She noted how when their fans were fighting tooth and nail, they were always hugging each other outside.
Mercy revealed that she is the type to experience people herself, even if someone tells her that a person is bad.
“Tacha and I have gone past the Big Brother saga. In fact, while fans were going tooth and nail, we would see each other and hug outside.
I like to experience people myself even if you tell me someone is a bad person”.
When Tacha turned 25 and threw a birthday bash, Mercy Eke attended. In a viral video, she was seen exchanging a sweet moment with the celebrant.
Tacha and Mercy had the internet on a chokehold, as they served bestie goals.
During another outing, Mercy and Tacha Akide blessed fans with a video of them at Beauty Tukura’s birthday party. Tacha said they have been together for four years now and credited Toke Makinwa for helping them resolve their differences.
When Tacha broke the Guinness record for the most makeovers, Mercy expressed excitement at her forthcoming big announcement. Noting how she deserves it, she stated that she owes her one.
When Mercy celebrated her birthday in September, Tacha had sweetly celebrated her. Describing her as gorgeous, she told her to keep winning.
In 2023, Tacha shaded Mercy, after she flaunted her Range Rover, days after Mercy posted hers. She had tweeted, “But is she me?”, meaning that she was in a league of her own.
Also, that year, when Ilebaye had emerged as the winner of the All Stars show, beating Mercy Eke and others, Tacha shaded Mercy, stating that she had proven her point and questioned whether Mercy wouldn’t have won her season if not for her disqualification.
Actress, Iheme Nancy, who was pissed with her statement, had slammed her, noting how Mercy had more votes than Tacha during their season. She stated that the reality star wasn’t able to prove any point, as Mercy remains the winner of all time.
Mercy and Tacha fell out after their messy fight during the ‘Pepper Dem’ season, which led to Tacha’s disqualification and Mercy Eke’s victory as the winner of the season. Many believed that Tacha would have won her season if not for the fight. Following her disqualification, Tacha held a grudge against Mercy for robbing her of her win.
In 2022, the two, had reconciled as they opened up on their long-time beef, trashing haters for rousing the fire of hatred between them.
During their interview with Toke Makinwa, Tacha, and Mercy claimed they don’t have to do what people expect them to do, as many derive joy when they fight.
The reality stars further proved naysayers wrong that their relationship was here to stay when they joined Khloe Abiri on Instagram Live.
