Fashion Entrepreneur Styled by Ejiro Reveals How She Rebuilt Her Life and Business After Major Setback
Fashion designer and entrepreneur Ejiro, widely recognised as Styled by Ejiro, has opened up about the difficult chapter that nearly brought her career and personal life to a standstill, revealing how she managed to rebuild after losing her business, finances, and personal belongings.
Speaking during a testimony at Streams of Joy International, Ejiro recounted how her once-thriving fashion brand suffered after she became involved with an online religious community whose teachings influenced several major decisions in her life.
The designer explained that she followed instructions she believed were spiritual directives, which led her to give up significant parts of her wealth and possessions.
According to Ejiro, she eventually lost her fashion company, savings, and properties in the process. She disclosed that over ₦11 million generated from the sale of her business was given away, while she also surrendered her home and other valuables.
She said the experience affected her relationships with family members, leaving her emotionally drained and separated from the people closest to her.
Her disappearance from public view sparked concern among friends, clients, and followers, leading to the launch of the social media campaign #WhereIsEjiro last year as people tried to find out her whereabouts.
Ejiro revealed that her recovery journey began after she walked away from the religious group on July 7, 2025. With the help of her loved ones, spiritual guidance, a 21-day fast, and support from her church community, she began rebuilding her life and career.
Starting with a small workspace located in her sister’s boys’ quarters, the entrepreneur took on simple tailoring projects and gradually worked to restore her reputation, reconnect with customers, and grow her fashion brand again.
A year after restarting, Ejiro said the results have surpassed her expectations. She revealed that her revived fashion business has recorded more than ₦83 million in inflows since its comeback.
The designer also announced plans to move her operations into a fully equipped five-bedroom duplex close to Maitama, Abuja. The new facility, she said, will feature industrial sewing machines and a dedicated inverter-powered electricity system to support production.
Reflecting on her journey, Ejiro described her story as a reminder that people can overcome devastating setbacks through resilience, support, faith, and the courage to begin again.
