Nigerian online streamer Habeeb Hamzat Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, has opened up about his experience after spending four days in police detention following his arrest.
The content creator made headlines recently after a video surfaced online showing him in a heated exchange with police officers during a road stop. Reports claimed he was apprehended for allegedly driving a vehicle with tinted windows and without a license plate.
Peller was later released, with his management sharing an update regarding the legal proceedings surrounding the matter.
Taking to Snapchat, the streamer revealed details of his time in custody, describing the experience as one he never expected to go through. He said he was still trying to recover from the ordeal and was not comfortable showing his face because he looked unkempt after spending days in detention.
According to Peller, he spent four nights sleeping in a detention cell and described the situation as extremely difficult. He further claimed that he neither took a bath nor ate throughout the four days he was held before eventually regaining his freedom.
The streamer also alleged that some individuals had intentions to hurt him during the ordeal but expressed gratitude to God for protecting him and helping him come out of the situation safely.
Following his revelation, several fans expressed relief over his return home and thanked God for his release. While some encouraged him to reflect on the incident and learn from the experience, others shared their opinions about the circumstances that led to his arrest.
Some critics linked the situation to what they described as a need for better communication and maturity, advising the streamer to remain humble. Others questioned why he was allegedly driving without a license plate and why the confrontation with the officers occurred.
Amid the reactions, some fans noted that public figures often face unique challenges and that fame comes with its own pressures and responsibilities.
