A lady with albinism has opened up about experiencing discrimination while seeking employment, alleging that she was denied a job opportunity because of both her gender and her condition.
According to the lady, she was the most qualified candidate for the position but was ultimately overlooked despite meeting the requirements for the role.
Sharing her experience, she claimed that she was directly informed that being a woman with albinism contributed to the decision to deny her the opportunity.
She said, “I have been denied a job opportunity because I’m a woman with albinism. I was the most qualified. In fact, I was told.”
Her revelation has drawn attention to the challenges people with albinism may face in the workplace, particularly when discrimination and stereotypes influence employment decisions.
