Social commentator Mc Slim Joe has urged people to be more intentional about their financial decisions, particularly when it comes to raising children and planning weddings.
He advised parents who are struggling to meet the basic needs of their children to avoid having more children until they are in a better financial position to provide for them.
“If you’re struggling to cater for your child, you don’t have any business giving birth to another child. If you’re among those who can’t have a wedding without opening a WhatsApp group to ask people to donate money for you, leave such a wedding. Cut your coat according to your size.”
His remarks also touched on the growing practice of seeking financial contributions from friends and family to fund weddings.
Mc Slim Joe stressed the importance of living according to one’s financial capacity rather than taking on responsibilities that could become difficult to sustain.
His comments have drawn attention to the broader conversation around financial planning, family responsibilities and the pressure people sometimes face to maintain certain lifestyles despite their financial circumstances.

@Saint Vincent:”Lol best advice so far, but some people no go still listen. They rather suffer and be married, than stay single and hustle”
@KARLY OF AFRICA 🐅:”Giving birth now seem like a much to do thing when in other countries people in their 20s are giving birth. Does this idiot knows the reason why grownups in Nigeria are scared to give birth is because of the useless government he supports?”
