IGP Disu Appoints New Police Spokespersons For Zones, Cybercrime Centre

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved new postings of Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) to selected commands and formations of the Nigeria Police Force, including Zone 5, Zone 11, Benue State and the National Cybercrime Centre.

The police said the appointments were aimed at strengthening strategic communication, improving public access to credible information and enhancing engagement between the Force, the media and other stakeholders.

Under the new postings announced on Friday, Superintendent of Police Johnson A. Doghudje has been appointed Police Public Relations Officer for Zone 5.

Similarly, Superintendent of Police Ojedele Olanrewaju Tunji has been posted to Zone 11, Osogbo, with 09152481510 listed as his contact number.

Meanwhile, Deputy Superintendent of Police Imah Unwana Victor has been posted to the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC), where he is expected to handle public relations and communication responsibilities.

The police said the new appointments were intended to improve communication between the Force and the public while ensuring that journalists and citizens have wider access to reliable information on police activities.
