‘I’ll slap you’ – How ADC stakeholders’ meeting turned violent in Abuja [VIDEO]

A video clip that captured moments a stakeholders’ meeting of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, turned violent in Abuja has emerged online.

DAILY POST learnt that trouble began when stakeholders of the party, including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Senator, Ireti kingibe met ahead of the distribution of materials for the senatorial primary held on Saturday.

It was gathered that the Chairman of the election committee, Mr. Abubakar Adams Chika, and the secretary, Mr. David Godwin had summoned the stakeholders to the Secretariat of the FCT chapter of the party to explain the process for the exercise.

The peaceful meeting was reportedly concluded when one Tijani Mubarak and four others allegedly invaded the venue with sticks.

Tijani immediately confronted the committee chairman for declining to honour an invite for a private discussion, leading to a heated exchange as captured in the video.

DAILY POST learnt that Tijani was allegedly against the election of Ireti as the party’s candidate for the FCT senatorial election.

Ireti has, however, been declared the winner of the primary election.
