The wife of teacher who was killed while in the custody of bandits has appealed to the government to assist in recovering her husband’s remains after learning that he was not among those rescued from captivity.
The grieving woman expressed deep sorrow and disappointment following reports that several teachers and schoolchildren had been freed from the bandits’ den, only for her to discover that her husband was not part of the rescued victims.
According to her, the news left her devastated as she had hoped he would return home safely alongside the other captives.
“I was heartbroken when I heard my husband wasn’t among the rescued teachers and schoolchildren,” she said.
She called on relevant authorities to intensify efforts to locate and retrieve his remains, urging the government to provide support for the family during the difficult period.
