Nigerian football star Victor Boniface has expressed his deep pride in his roots, revealing that he proudly represents Nigeria wherever he goes.
The Bayer Leverkusen forward shared that he never hides his Nigerian identity, saying he makes it known in every dressing room and environment he finds himself.
According to Boniface, being Nigerian carries a special significance, and he would gladly choose the country again if given another chance at life.
“In every dressing room and everywhere I go, I make it clear that I’m a proud Nigerian. 🇳🇬 In my next life, I’d want to be Nigerian again,” Boniface said.
The Super Eagles striker also highlighted the global influence of Nigerian entertainment, noting that the achievements of Afrobeats stars such as Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Rema have helped improve how Nigerians are perceived internationally.
He explained that mentioning these global music icons often earns Nigerians more recognition and respect, especially among Europeans.
“Europeans even give you a little more respect when you tell them Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy and Rema are Nigerians,” he added.
