Iran is reportedly bracing for a harsh response from the US after it shot down two F-15 fighter jets.
Israeli broadcaster Kan 11 said on Friday evening, citing official sources, that Israel was preparing for two more weeks of war.
Israel is reportedly planning for this by postponing new appointments and delaying the change of commanders of the Israeli air force and navy, which had been planned for around 10 days.
According to the sources, Israel has already drawn up a list of targets to attack in Iran in the coming weeks, including key infrastructure such as bridges and more energy and oil facilities.
They noted that this list of targets has yet to be approved by the Trump administration.
Iran on Friday targeted two US military fighter jets which had two crew members on board. A Hawk helicopter and another aircraft were also damaged.
The losses came less than 48 hours after Trump addressed Americans and claimed that Iran was completely destroyed, while also vowing to return the country to the “Stone Age”.
13 US personnel have reportedly been killed in the Iran war so far.
According to US Department of Defence figures, at least 247 pilots have also been wounded, as well as 63 Navy sailors, 19 marines and 36 Air Force personnel.
In a post on social media on Friday, Trump said he would extend the war while trying to seize Iranian oil and assets.
“With a little more time, we can easily OPEN THE HORMUZ STRAIT, TAKE THE OIL, & MAKE A FORTUNE,” he wrote in a social media post on Friday.
Trump has for weeks been stating that the US will open the strait soon, however, has given no indication on how this would be possible.
Meanwhile, Iran has continued its attacks on Gulf countries, with shrapnel from intercepted drones injuring four people in Bahrain.
Two buildings in Dubai were also hit by debris, including one housing the US cloud computing firm Oracle, authorities in the UAE stated. A day earlier, debris from a projectile also killed one person and wounded four others in the Habshan gas complex in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defence said in a statement that an early warning system had been activated in the Eastern Province of the country, without providing further details.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards has in recent weeks been threatening to target American tech firms in the region as a result of the ongoing war and devastation caused in Iran.
