Iran has executed a man convicted of providing information about missile sites in the central province of Isfahan to Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, according to the Iranian judiciary.
The judiciary-run Mizan news agency identified the man as Hossein Pedaran and said he had been convicted of espionage and intelligence cooperation with Israel.
Pedaran was accused of providing Mossad with information on sensitive military sites, including missile locations in Isfahan province, according to the judiciary.
Iranian authorities said he carried out the alleged espionage for financial gain.
The Iranian Supreme Court upheld Pedaran’s death sentence before he was executed by hanging, the judiciary said.
The authorities did not disclose when Pedaran was arrested or when he was put on trial.
The case was linked to the 12-day war between Iran and Israel in June 2025, during which Iranian missile and military sites were targeted, according to reports citing Iranian authorities.
The execution is the latest in a series of cases in which Iranian authorities have accused individuals of spying for Israel amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv.
Iran has stepped up arrests and executions over alleged espionage since the conflict, with authorities accusing suspects of passing sensitive military and security information to Israel.
