Nollywood actress and African Action Congress, AAC, governorship candidate Doris Ogala has taken her campaign for the 2027 Abia State governorship election to an unusual setting, delivering a speech from her living room.
In a video circulating online, Ogala was seen seated in her sitting room with a microphone as she addressed viewers and spoke about her plans for Abia State.
During the speech, Ogala declared her intention to challenge incumbent Governor Alex Otti, while speaking about jobs, infrastructure and other issues affecting residents.
She also described the political contest as “the women’s turn” and urged Abia residents to support her campaign ahead of the 2027 election.
Ogala emerged as the AAC’s governorship candidate for Abia State in May 2026 after winning the party’s primary election.
The informal nature of the campaign video has since attracted a wave of reactions on social media.
