“Jesus Has Paid The Whole Debt”- Pastor Urges Church Members To Enjoy Life To The Fullest

A Nigerian pastor has sparked reactions on social media after encouraging members of his congregation to live their lives fully, stressing that Jesus Christ had already paid the price for their sins.

The cleric made the statement in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), where he addressed his congregation and spoke about how Christians should view sin, forgiveness and their everyday lives.

According to the pastor, believers should not allow the things that are considered sinful to stop them from enjoying life. He argued that some behaviours currently regarded as sinful have become part of modern lifestyles.

“Jesus has paid the whole debt. You are not owing anybody a sin. What they are now calling sin is a normal lifestyle, so always enjoy life to the fullest,” he declared.

The comment has generated mixed reactions online, with social media users debating the pastor’s interpretation of sin and the extent to which Christians should embrace certain lifestyles.

While some may view his remarks as an encouragement to live without guilt over past sins, others have questioned the theological implications of describing behaviours traditionally considered sinful as normal.

The video has continued to fuel conversations about Christian teachings, forgiveness and the role of religious leaders in shaping how believers understand morality and everyday life.

@Dat_Irregular_EdoGuy:”Enjoyment pastor. Carry go”

@Esther White;”All these gullible false preachers everywhere… Tueh!”

@Kofi Osikani:”As a Christian, you should discern the spirits and see where the source of that voice is. Anyone can get a piece of wood, rent a place and get an audience and call himself a preacher. The same cross of love will be the same cross to judge everything.”

@OBIMOVEMENT49JA;”Be careful of the message you send out there because a lot of people will take these words in another direction and trust me you will not like what a lot of people will do”

@Samuel Jesumeje:”He is correct, but those with self righteousness will find it difficult to believe-Those who wants to earn salvation by works. Please send me the pastor’s X handle”

@Krackerjack:”I just find it somehow that you believe it’s fair for another person to be punished for your sin. Imagine someone comes to you breaks your hand, destroy your property and said one of you grand fathers did same thing years ago and you’ll be punished for it. It felt somehow”
