US-based lawyer, Emmanuel Ogebe, has sparked serious debate after comparing today’s security situation with the era of Goodluck Jonathan.
Speaking on Channels TV, Ogebe didn’t mince words. He claimed Nigeria felt safer before the 2015 elections than it does now.
“Jonathan was doing way better,” he said.
According to him, the former government took bold steps by bringing in South African mercenaries who helped push back insurgents and recover lost territories in the Northeast.
But today? He says that same urgency is missing.
Many Nigerians are now worried as insecurity continues to rise across different regions.
With elections drawing closer, questions are being asked — is the country truly prepared?
The pressure is mounting, and citizens are watching closely.
Will history repeat itself or get worse?
