Brentford announced Henderson’s departure on its official X page, thanking the former Liverpool captain for his time at the club and wishing him success in his future career.

The development comes amid reports that Henderson has agreed to join Chelsea on a two-year contract.

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 36-year-old has reached an agreement with Chelsea that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until June 2028.
