Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State, has emerged as the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum.
Politics Nigeria reports that the development was confirmed in a statement released by the forum shortly after its meeting.
Members described his emergence as a reflection of trust in his leadership capacity and his steady role within the party in recent years.
