The Lagos State Government has sparked massive reactions after introducing a new Tenancy Bill aimed at tackling the rising cost of rent and the controversial charges imposed by house agents and landlords across the state.
The proposed bill is set to strictly regulate rent increments, meaning landlords will no longer be allowed to increase house rent arbitrarily without following proper legal procedures.
