Tension gripped parts of Akwa Ibom State after two men suspected of being involved in child kidnapping were reportedly apprehended by residents following an alleged attempt to abduct schoolchildren.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday when three children were returning home from school in Ikot Abasi Akpan, located in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area. The suspects allegedly attempted to take the children before alert residents intervened.
