Kano Hisbah Arrests TikToker Over Obscene Videos

The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested TikTok content creator Ukasha Yahaya, popularly known as UK International, over videos allegedly showing him hugging, carrying and bathing with women.

The board’s Deputy Commander General, Mujahid Aminuddeen, confirmed the arrest on Thursday, saying Ukasha was apprehended after intelligence indicated that he had entered Kano.

Aminuddeen said the 27-year-old, who is from Gusau, Zamfara State, and resides in Abuja, remained in custody while investigations continued.

During interrogation, Ukasha reportedly said he could not remember the number of videos he had produced with women. He added that some of the videos had attracted between one and three million views.

The clips allegedly showed him dancing and hugging women, as well as swimming and bathing with them.

Asked how he got the women featured in his videos, Ukasha said they approached him because of his work as a content creator.

He also said his mother and others had repeatedly warned him against producing such content. According to him, he was considering quitting the practice as he prepared for marriage.

The TikToker apologised and promised not to repeat the acts.

His TikTok account, UK INTERNATIONAL, reportedly has more than 262,000 followers and 2.4 million likes.

Aminuddeen said Ukasha would be charged to court after the investigation, warning youths against using social media for activities that violate religious and moral values.
