Lady calls out GTBank, staff member over alleged refusal to release late mother’s funds

A Nigerian lady has publicly called out GTBank and a staff member identified as Samuel Gbenro over the alleged refusal to release her late mother’s funds to the family.

In a video shared online, the woman claimed she had spent over a year trying to access the money, despite sending emails and visiting several GTBank branches to lodge complaints.

According to her, her repeated efforts have yet to yield a resolution, prompting her to publicly call out Gbenro and the bank.

In her words, she said:

“Samuel Gbenro of GTBank Airport Road branch, Lagos, you have refused to release my late mother’s money to me. This is day one of me calling you, and the entire GTBank. I will continue until you release that money to me.

I have sent series of emails. I have gone to several branches to lay complaints, and they have still not done anything about this. This is over one year, and they’ve not released this money to us.”

The lady expressed anger over the situation, insisting that the funds belonged to her late mother and should not be withheld from the family.

She further demanded that the bank release the money, while warning that she would continue to pursue the matter until it was resolved.

“Over my dead body will a stranger take my mother’s money. Money she suffered to make? Whatever it is that you people have done with that money, you are going to bring it out,” she added.

Her allegation has drawn attention online, with some viewers calling for clarification from GTBank over the alleged delay.

However, the claims remain the woman’s account of the dispute, and the bank or the named staff member’s response was not included in the video.
