Liverpool Football Club, after their midweek defeat to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), regained confidence in the domestic league, beating Fulham 2–0 courtesy of Rio Ngumoha and Mohamed Salah at Anfield, news.ng reports.
Ngumoha’s goal came in the 36th minute after an assist from Florian Wirtz, with a right-footed shot from the left of the box into the bottom right corner to make it 1–0.
The lead was doubled four minutes later, courtesy of Salah’s left-footed shot from the right side of the box, which landed in the bottom left corner to make it 2–0.
Salah’s goal was his first since announcing on March 24, 2026, that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season.
Liverpool’s victory tonight has solidified their fifth place (52 points), as Chelsea trails by four points.
Elsewhere, Brighton and Hove Albion beat Burnley 2–0 to move up to 9th with 46 points, while Burnley remain 19th with 20 points.
Everton forced Brentford to a 2–2 draw, moving up to 8th on the table and sharing the same number of points (47).
