French President Emmanuel Macron hosted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to a private dinner at the Élysée Palace in Paris on Thursday.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, disclosed this in a post on X on Friday.
Onanuga said the dinner reflected the longstanding relationship between Nigeria and France and their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The meeting took place as Tinubu continues his three-week annual leave in Europe. He arrived in Paris on Sunday after spending the first part of his holiday in London.
Tinubu’s presence at the Élysée Palace comes amid longstanding diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and France, with both countries maintaining cooperation across trade, investment, security and other areas.
No details were immediately provided on the issues discussed during the private dinner or whether any agreements were reached.
