The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation has postponed its South-South zonal town hall meeting earlier scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The campaign organisation, in a statement signed by the Communication Adviser to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) presidential campaign, Anthony Ehilebo, said a new date would be announced later.
The campaign organisation apologised to stakeholders, members and supporters in the South-South zone for any inconvenience caused by the postponement.
However, the organisation said its North-Central zonal town hall meeting would be held as scheduled on Monday, September 28, in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The campaign also expressed appreciation to Nigerians for what it described as the “rousing reception” accorded the APM presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde and his running mate, Musa Daura, during the North-West zonal town hall meeting in Katsina on Monday.
According to the organisation, the Katsina engagement demonstrated what it described as the growing acceptance of Makinde, Daura and the APM ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
“The success of the North West’s engagement further underscores the popularity of our presidential candidate, his running mate and our great Party, the APM, across the country ahead of the 2027 presidential election,” the statement said.
The campaign urged Nigerians to remain united and committed to what it described as a collective effort to “rescue and Reset Nigeria.”
It said the objective was to build a country that works for all under a Makinde/Daura presidency on the platform of the APM.
No reason was given for the postponement of the South-South meeting.
