The presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, has appointed former Minister of State for Aviation, Felix Hassan Hyat, as Director-General of the National Campaign Management Committee of the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation.
The appointment, announced in a statement on Wednesday, comes as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
Hyat, a former Kaduna State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is expected to lead the APM presidential campaign in taking its “Reset Nigeria” message across the country and mobilising support for the party’s presidential ticket.
The campaign described his appointment as bringing extensive political experience and a wide network to the organisation.
Also appointed are former Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Inna Ciroma, as Deputy Director-General, Administration, and Dr Anthony Aziegbemi as Deputy Director-General, Operations.
According to the statement signed by Anthony Ehilebo, Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication to Makinde, the campaign leadership would work with APM National Leader and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, and National Chairman, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, among other party leaders.
The campaign has also appointed 12 directors and a deputy director to oversee various areas of its operations.
Alhaji Hamza Akuyam Koshe will serve as Director of Contact and Mobilisation, while Barrister Mark Jacob will head Legal and Compliance.
Dr Ade Adeagbo was appointed Director of Administration and Strategy, with Hon. Richard Ihediwa taking charge of Strategic Communications among other appointees.
The statement said further appointments would be announced in due course.
It urged APM members, supporters and Nigerians who subscribe to the party’s “Reset Nigeria” vision to remain committed and work towards the party’s success in the 2027 general elections.
