Man loses ₦60m property after visa agent his wife recommended turns to be her ex

A Nigerian man has reportedly been left devastated after allegedly losing his only property worth ₦60 million while attempting to relocate abroad with his family.

The story was shared by an X user identified as @silvoxbtc, who narrated how the man’s wife allegedly convinced him to sell the property after repeatedly pressuring him to move overseas.

Wife Pressures Husband to Relocate

According to the account, the man’s wife had been pressuring him for a long time to leave Nigeria because many of her friends and their husbands were already living abroad.

She reportedly insisted that they should also relocate and eventually convinced her husband by claiming that she knew a reliable agent who could handle their visas and other relocation arrangements.

After a long period of disagreement, the man reportedly agreed to the plan.

The couple then sold the man’s only property for ₦60 million to one of his friends and began the relocation process.

‘Months Passed With No Visa’

However, months reportedly passed without the family receiving their visas.

As the situation became increasingly worrying, the man began pressing the supposed visa agent for updates, but according to the account, there was no positive development.

The situation reportedly took a shocking turn last month when the man was using his wife’s phone and a message popped up.

He allegedly opened the message and discovered that it was from the same man who had been presented to him as their visa agent.

Husband Discovers Wife’s Secret Chats With Ex

According to @silvoxbtc, the man went through the chats and discovered that his wife had allegedly been communicating secretly with the supposed visa agent for years.

When he confronted his wife, she reportedly admitted that the man was her ex-boyfriend but claimed that there was nothing serious between them anymore.

The post read:

”Early last year, my in-law sold his only property for ₦60,000,000 so he could relocate abroad with his family.

His wife had been pressuring him for a long time to leave the country.

Most of her friends and their husbands were already living overseas, and she kept insisting they should do the same.

She eventually convinced him by saying she knew a reliable agent who could handle their visas and all the arrangements.

After a long period of disagreement, he finally agreed.

They sold the property to one of his friends and began the process of relocating.

Months passed with no visa in sight.

Growing worried, he started pressing the so-called visa agent for updates, but nothing positive came of it.

Last month, while using his wife’s phone, a message popped up

He opened it and was shocked to discover it was from the same “visa agent.”

As he went through their chats, he realized his wife had been secretly communicating with this man for years.

When he confronted her, she admitted the man was her ex but claimed they no longer had anything serious between them.

When asked about the visa, she simply said the agent was “having some challenges.”

That was when it became clear: his wife and her ex had scammed him.

The man is now in deep pain, the pain of betrayal by the woman he called his wife and the mother of his children.”
