Man Thrown From 4-Storey Building After Boxer Shorts Theft Accusation — Tragic Death Sparks Panic in Anambra

The incident reportedly happened around 3am at Afubera Street, Odoakpu, in Onitsha South Local Government Area, leaving residents in shock and fear. Emeka, said to be a site supervisor living on the premises, was allegedly accused of stealing boxer shorts produced in a factory within the building.

According to eyewitness accounts, the situation escalated quickly. A resident identified as Chichi claimed the victim was beaten, tied up, and locked inside a room for about three days before the tragic event occurred.

She further alleged that at about 3am, residents heard a loud scream, and moments later, Emeka’s lifeless body was discovered on the ground with signs suggesting he may have been thrown from the upper floor.

The shocking discovery triggered panic in the area, with many residents rushing out to witness the scene.

Police operatives later arrived at the location, evacuated the body, and arrested several suspects believed to be connected to the incident. Some workers at the factory were also taken in for questioning.

However, the Anambra State Police Command has said investigations are ongoing, noting that there are conflicting accounts. While some believe the victim was killed, others suggest he may have tried to escape after being locked up.

As investigations continue, an autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.

This tragic incident has left many Nigerians asking difficult questions about justice, workplace abuse, and human rights.
