Man United Dominate Liverpool After 3-2 Victory at Old Trafford

Manchester United on Sunday afternoon once again dominated Liverpool, securing a deserved 3–2 victory at Old Trafford and cementing their qualification for next season’s Champions League, news.ng reports.

United opened the scoring in the 6th minute, courtesy of Matheus Cunha’s left-footed shot from the centre of the box into the bottom left corner to make it 1–0.

The lead was doubled eight minutes later through Benjamin Sesko’s close-range effort. United maintained the pressure into half-time.

It was a dramatic turnaround as both teams resumed action, with Liverpool levelling in the 47th minute courtesy of Dominik Szoboszlai, before Cody Gakpo scored in the 56th minute to increase the tempo.

However, it was United’s youngster Kobbie Mainoo who delivered a sensational right-footed shot from outside the box into the bottom left corner to make it 3–2, giving the Red Devils three league wins in a row.

United comfortably sit in third place with 64 points, while Liverpool are fourth with 58 points.

Liverpool will face Chelsea next weekend, while United renew hostilities with Sunderland.

United, under the interim management of Michael Carrick, have proved critics wrong, beating top Premier League sides — Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City — this season.
