The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM, Worldwide, alongside Christian and Islamic organisations, as well as government officials in Oyo State, have held separate prayer sessions seeking divine intervention over rising insecurity across Nigeria.
The General Overseer of MFM, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, led a special prayer session during the church’s midweek Manna Water Service, where he expressed concern over the worsening security situation in the country, particularly the activities of bandits and kidnappers.
Olukoya, in a sermon titled “Violent Spiritual Practices to Defeat Violent Problems,” urged Nigerians to intensify prayers for peace, justice and national stability, stressing that prayer remains a key tool for confronting national challenges.
He called on worshippers to intercede for victims of insecurity and for divine intervention in restoring peace across the country.
Meanwhile, the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society, NASFAT, condemned the persistent wave of insecurity in Nigeria, describing attacks on innocent citizens and communities as tragic and deeply troubling.
The Islamic organisation expressed concern over the loss of lives and destruction of livelihoods in several parts of the country, noting that urgent action was needed from all stakeholders to restore peace and stability.
NASFAT announced that special prayers would be held simultaneously across all its branches and locations worldwide on Sunday, as part of efforts to seek divine intervention for Nigeria’s security challenges.
In a related development, Christian leaders, members of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, political appointees, and government officials in Oyo State also held a special prayer session for peace and the safe release of abducted teachers and students.
The interdenominational prayer meeting, held at the Oyo State Government House Chapel, brought together religious leaders, government representatives, students and worshippers from various denominations.
Participants prayed for the release of kidnapped victims and called for divine intervention to address the country’s security challenges.
