The 2026 Mid-Year Crossover Conference of Grace Nation Worldwide, popularly known as Liberation City, has commenced with a call on Christians to embrace covenant principles as the pathway to breaking free from spiritual limitations and entering a season of divine breakthroughs.
The four-day conference, holding at the church’s international headquarters in Ojodu Berger, Lagos, is designed to usher worshippers from the first half of 2026 into what church leaders described as a more glorious and impactful second half of the year.
The opening session attracted worshippers from different parts of Nigeria and abroad, with the auditorium filled with vibrant worship, praise, prophetic ministrations, and testimonies from participants who recounted previous encounters at Grace Nation programmes.

Declaring the conference open, the Generational Prophet and Senior Pastor of Grace Nation Global, Dr. Chris Okafor, described the gathering as a divine opportunity for believers to reposition themselves for greater accomplishments in the months ahead.
According to him, many people have remained on the same side of delay, stagnation, and unfulfilled expectations for too long, stressing that God desires to move them into a new season of victory, restoration, and abundance.
Speaking on the theme, **”Dealing with Ungodly Transactions,”** Dr. Okafor said believers who desire genuine transformation must understand and engage covenant principles capable of breaking every evil transaction working against their lives and destinies.
He explained that spiritual battles are governed by principles, adding that many people unknowingly remain under the influence of negative spiritual transactions established through sin, ignorance, ancestral covenants, and unhealthy associations.
“There are transactions that give the enemy legal right to afflict, delay, and keep people in perpetual bondage.
“As long as that legal ground exists, the devil will continue to operate. But when you understand covenant principles and engage them through obedience, sacrifice, and service to God, you destroy the legal hold and enforce your freedom,” he said.
The cleric described a covenant as a binding agreement between two parties, noting that while satanic covenants are designed to enslave individuals, God offers covenants that guarantee protection, prosperity, preservation, and promotion for those who remain faithful to Him.
He urged participants to consciously establish and maintain a covenant relationship with God through consistent kingdom service, sacrificial giving, unwavering obedience, and total commitment to His word.
Dr. Okafor further described the mid-year period as an important season for spiritual assessment and realignment, encouraging worshippers to review their lives, identify areas where they may have granted the enemy access, and seek genuine repentance while making fresh commitments to God.
According to him, lasting breakthroughs are products of obedience to divine principles rather than chance or wishful thinking.
“God is not a magician; He is a God of principles. Until you play by His principles, you cannot enjoy His promises,” he stated.
He declared that those who align themselves with God’s covenant principles would experience divine intervention, uncommon favour, open doors, and remarkable testimonies before the end of the year.
The first day of the conference also featured intensive sessions of prophetic declarations, deliverance prayers, and testimonies from worshippers who shared experiences of healing, financial breakthroughs, marital restoration, employment opportunities, and other life-changing encounters recorded through previous Grace Nation programmes.
Organisers disclosed that subsequent sessions of the conference would focus on topics including breaking generational curses, dismantling evil altars, financial liberty, destiny recovery, and other areas of spiritual empowerment.
The conference will also feature ministrations by guest ministers and gospel music artistes.
Praying for participants at the close of the opening service, Dr. Okafor declared that every evil transaction hindering their progress would be nullified by the blood of Jesus, while prophesying that the second half of 2026 would usher in supernatural provision, elevation, and outstanding testimonies.
