Port Harcourt Rivers State__Residents of a community were thrown into shock after a mother of two reportedly suffered a sudden mental breakdown and was later found roaming naked along several streets before concerned villagers intervened and took her to safety.
According to eyewitness and Viral Video, the woman, who is known within the community as a quiet and hardworking mother, allegedly began behaving strangely in the early hours of the day. Residents said her actions became increasingly unusual before she eventually left her home and started wandering around the area without clothing.
The incident reportedly attracted large crowds as residents and passersby watched in disbelief while some attempted to cover her with wrappers and clothing. Community members later restrained her gently to prevent her from harming herself or wandering into dangerous areas.
A resident who witnessed the incident said the woman had shown no obvious signs of mental illness in the past.
“Everyone was surprised because she is a responsible mother and a peaceful person. Nobody expected something like this to happen. We immediately tried to help her instead of mocking her,” the resident said.
Several villagers reportedly worked together to calm the woman before contacting her family members. Local women in the community were said to have assisted in covering her and providing temporary care while relatives made arrangements for medical attention.
A relative of the victim, who spoke on condition of anonymity, expressed sadness over the incident and appealed to the public to show compassion.
“She is a loving mother of two children and has always cared for her family. We noticed that she had been under emotional and financial pressure recently, but we never imagined it would lead to this situation. We are asking people not to spread hurtful comments or videos. What she needs now is medical attention and support,” the relative said.
Some residents attributed the incident to stress and emotional challenges, while others urged the family to seek professional medical evaluation to determine the exact cause of the sudden behavioral change.
