Benfica manager, Jose Mourinho, has finished this domestic season unbeaten with the team.
The Portuguese club rounded off the campaign with a 3-1 victory over Estoril Praia on Saturday.
In the 34 fixtures they played, Benfica won 23 games and drew 11.
However, this historic milestone was a mixed bag, as the club finished third in the Primeira Liga table.
Benfica finished with 80 points, behind champions FC Porto, who won the title with 88 points, and Sporting CP, who tallied 82 points.
At the end of the day, it became a rare case when a team goes the full season unbeaten and fails to win the title.
They also didn’t qualify for the Champions League, as they will be playing in the Europa League.
