Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal has firmly denied allegations that she orchestrated the arrest of an X (Twitter) user who mocked her over a viral AI-generated image.
The drama began when Lawal shared AI photos depicting her with a darker complexion, sparking online debate and accusations of skin bleaching.
X user, ScoobyDoo (also known as Ewatomi) trolled the post, then claimed he was detained for over a week at Area F Police Command in Ikeja.

Lawal responded strongly on Monday, calling the claims a lie. “I did not arrest any rat,” she posted. “Oppression is not my line of defense. Why would I take away a RAT’s fundamental human right because of something as frivolous as an opinion over an AI-generated April Fool joke image?”
She added: “O ti su mi, every week some NEW FALSE narrative — why the OBSESSION… please let me breathe.”
As of Tuesday, no official police statement has confirmed her involvement in any arrest.
