Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has opened up on a heartbreaking chapter of his life, revealing that he is the only surviving child among four sets of twins born by his mother.
The actor made the emotional disclosure while appearing on the cooking show Stirring Stories by Simisola, where he reflected on family, fatherhood and responsibility.
“I am the only surviving one”
Ogogo revealed that his mother gave birth to four sets of twins, but he is the only one still alive.
According to the actor, losing seven siblings at different times shaped his perspective on life and the importance of taking responsibility.
Ogogo speaks on fatherhood
During the conversation, Ogogo condemned fathers who abandon their children, insisting that no one can run away from their responsibilities forever.
“You are running away from your responsibilities, it is hanging up there in your house, you will still meet it and face it squarely whenever you come back home,” he said.
Actor reacts to absent fathers
Reacting to concerns about the increasing number of single mothers raising children alone, Ogogo acknowledged that some men neglect their parental duties.
However, he maintained that it would be wrong to judge all fathers based on the actions of a few, stressing that not every man is irresponsible.
The veteran actor added that every parent has a duty to care for their children and should be held accountable for that responsibility.
